Privacy Policy

In short

Ludu is a Ludo game that runs on your phone. It has no account, no sign-in and no ads. The only things it keeps are the nickname, emblem and settings you choose, and they stay on your device unless you decide to share a card with friends.

If Android Backup is turned on for your device, Android may also copy these to your own Google account. See section 7.

1.Who we are

Ludu (লুডু) is published by TechNest Games. This policy explains what the Ludu Android app does with information. It covers every version of the app distributed through Google Play under the package name com.tn.ludu. It does not cover the TechNest website or any other app.

2.What stays on your phone

When you first open Ludu you choose a nickname and an emblem. Ludu saves these, together with your settings, in the app's private storage on your device:

• Nickname. Any name you like. It does not have to be your real name, and we recommend that it isn't.
• Emblem. The picture that stands for you on the board.
• Settings. Sound, vibration, reduce motion, language (Bangla or English) and your Classic or Quick token preference.
• Coins. A play-money score that goes up and down as you play.

Ludu reads this information only to show it to you and to the people who play with you on the same phone. The app never uploads it to us or to anyone else.

Coins are not money. They cannot be bought with real money, sold, transferred or exchanged for anything. Ludu has no in-app purchases and is not a gambling app.

3.What Ludu never does

• It never asks for an account, a sign-in, a phone number or an email address.
• It never reads your device identifiers, location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera.
• We never sell, rent or share personal information, because we do not have any.

4.Permissions and Firebase

Ludu declares two Android permissions. INTERNET is needed by Google Firebase, which the app includes (see below). ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE lets the app see whether your phone currently has a working connection so the screen can show the right state.

Ludu includes Google Firebase. Firebase is provided by Google and may collect technical information needed to run its services, such as your device model, Android version, the app version and a Firebase installation identifier. Google handles this information under Google's privacy policy.

On Android 11 and newer, Ludu also declares that it may check whether WhatsApp, imo, Messenger and Telegram are installed. This is only so the share sheet can offer those apps as one-tap targets when you have them. Ludu cannot read anything from those apps.

5.Sharing cards and room codes

Ludu can make a small picture, called a card, when you win a game or invite friends to a room, together with a short message such as "Play Ludu with me! Room code: 7QK2MP technest.com.bd/ludu". A card can show your nickname, your emblem, the players in the game and the room code.

Nothing is shared until you tap a share button. When you do, Ludu hands the card to the app you pick through the standard Android share sheet, or copies the text to your clipboard. From that moment the receiving app's own privacy policy applies, and we have no control over where the card goes.

The card image is written to Ludu's cache folder so the other app can read it. You can remove it at any time with Clear cache for Ludu in your phone's app settings, and Android may clear it on its own.

6.Playing with friends

Room codes are generated on your own phone. In the current version of Ludu there is no online server. Everyone in a game plays on the same device, and codes are simply a way to invite friends. If we add true online rooms later, this policy will be updated before that feature is released. See section 10.

7.Android Backup and Google Play

Android Backup

If backup is turned on for your device, Android may include Ludu's saved nickname, emblem, settings and coins in the backup of your own Google account, so they come back when you set up a new phone. Android and Google do this under Google's privacy policy, not us, and we never receive that backup. You can turn it off under Settings › Google › Backup on your phone.

Google Play

Downloading and updating Ludu through Google Play is subject to Google's privacy policy. Google may show us aggregate, anonymous figures such as how many people installed the app and whether it crashed. These reports do not identify you, and we cannot link them to you.

8.Children

Ludu is a family game suitable for all ages. Because Ludu collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children. There are no ads, no purchases, no chat and no way to contact strangers inside the app. Parents and guardians with questions can write to us at the address in section 11.

9.Your controls

• Change your nickname or emblem, or erase everything. Use Clear storage (on some phones, Clear data) for Ludu in your phone's app settings. Ludu will ask for a nickname again the next time it opens.
• Remove shared card images. Use Clear cache for Ludu in the same place.
• Stop Android from backing up Ludu. Turn off backup under Settings › Google › Backup, or delete the backup from your Google account.
• Uninstall. Uninstalling Ludu deletes everything the app saved on your phone.

If you live in a region with data-protection laws, such as the EU or the UK, note that we hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete. The controls above do all of that on your device. If you believe we have got something wrong, contact us and we will look into it.

10.Changes and future features

We may add features that change how Ludu handles information, for example online rooms, signing in with a Google account, or an option to remove ads. If we do, we will update this policy before the feature reaches you, change the effective date at the top, and update the Data safety section of the Google Play listing. Continuing to use Ludu after a change means the updated policy applies. The current version of this policy is always available at technest.com.bd/ludu-privacy.
